Malta has joined 25 other European countries to participate in the Global Education Network Europe (GENE), which brings together Ministries, Agencies and other bodies that develop national policy and provide funding for Global Education in European countries. The network encourages policy and funding coherence and works towards a structured network made of strategies’ sharing and a peer learning approach that leads to enhanced results nationally.

“Malta places great emphasis on equipping its citizens with the knowledge, tools and skills needed in today’s globalised world. Our policy is to promote education that enables people to play an active role in their societies and internationally being aware of their rights and responsibilities,” commented Education Malta Chairman Mr Charles Zammit.
